Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Mug in under 3 minutes!

Finally an Easy Bake Microwave Oven for Adults!

If you have been following along, you know that I made an amazingly delicious Chocolate Cake in a Mug last week (I have pretty much become a superstar in my home for that one).  The other night I decided to experiment with making a Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Mug.  I am happy (and so is the mister) that after a few attempts I nailed it!! Make sure to use accurate measurements anytime you are baking, even if it is in a mug!

Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Mug


1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Tablespoon Granulated White Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Light Brown Sugar, firmly packed
splash of Vanilla Extract, about 3 drops (more if you like)
Small Pinch of Kosher Salt
1 Egg Yolk (do not use the egg white)
1/4 of All Purpose Flour, (measure and remove1 teaspoon) 
2 Tablespoons of Dark Chocolate Chips

Start by measuring the butter and placing it into your mug.  Place the mug in the microwave and melt, approximately 30-40 seconds.
Remove mug from the microwave and add both the white and brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir to combine.
Separate your egg and add only the yolk to the mug. Stir to combine. 
Add flour, then stir again. 
Add the chocolate chips, and give a final stir. 

Cook in microwave 40-60 seconds, start checking for doneness at 40 seconds. Mine takes 50 seconds.

Allow to cool for 1 minute, this also allows the ingredients to settle and firm up.  Serve warm.

Wa-la!! Homemade chocolate chip cookie in just a few minutes...and little to no mess to clean up.  This yummy treat is also delicious with a scoop of ice cream!
