Quick Tip: How to Keep your Fruit and Veggie Drawers Odor Free

Onion scented strawberries, no thank you!!!

Nine times out of ten I don't use an entire onion in my recipes, therefore leaving me with a half cut onion in the refrigerator.  As we all know, this can get a bit stinky!  Here is a free and easy Quick Tip: How to Keep your Fruit and Veggie Drawers Odor Free.

Most people will buy a box of baking soda and pop that in the refrigerator.  Although that method is effective, I have found that this method works just as well and allows you to target a specific area and best of all .... its FREE!

All you need is 1 or 2 pieces of newspaper.  Simply crumble the paper up, put it in your veggie/fruit drawer and place the cut onion (in a zip top bag) on top of the paper!

Wa-la!  The newspaper absorbs the odor from the onion leaving your fridge odor free!
