Garlic Asparagus with Lime

Asparagus is one of my favorite vegetables, I love that you can pair it with just about anything!
Last night I was going to make asparagus the way I usually do, with garlic and lemon but I didn't have any lemon.  I only had limes on hand so I figured I'd give it a try.
This is what I came up with.

Garlic Asparagus with Lime
1 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 shallot, minced
1 bunch fresh asparagus spears, woody ends removed
1/2 lime, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Stir in garlic and shallots, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in asparagus spears; cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Squeeze lime over hot asparagus, and season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot and garnish with lime wedges.  I served the asparagus with Mojo Chicken and a Sweet Potato.  I really feel the lime on the asparagus complimented the Mojo very well!
