Crock Pot BBQ Beer Chicken

Sunday BBQ'ing is one of my favorite things about summer. 

Yesterday I didnt want to do much cooking so I decided to bust out the crock pot.  This is seriously a 2 step meal and lets be honest, you can't beat that!

I served this meal with my  Baked Spinach Mac-N-Cheese, and a side of collard greens! It was the perfect southern meal!

Crock Pot BBQ Beer Chicken


3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 large)
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
10 ounces of beer (I used a Corona Light)
21 ounces or more of barbecue sauce

Add all ingredients to the crock pot, then stir. Place lid on the crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours, tossing once or twice if desired. 

After 6 hours, shred and add stir into the barbecue sauce. 

Serve as desired.
