Quick and Easy Way to Make Jar Sauce Taste Amazing

Sometimes a quick dinner is all we have time for.

Pasta and sauce is one of my pantry must-haves.  I always keep them on hand for nights when i want a good but quick dinner.  Here is a very easy way to make store bought jar pasta sauce taste homemade in just minutes.

What you will need

1 jar of pasta sauce, any kind
pasta noodles, any kind
2 ground chicken sausages, casing removed*
1 clove of garlic, minced
black olives
crushed red pepper flakes
dried basil
dried parsley
olive oil
parmesan cheese
salt
pepper

*you can use any type of ground meat that you want: chicken, beef, pork, turkey.

Directions

Start by removing the casing from the sausages.  Add the olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat, once heated, add the meat, salt and pepper to taste and garlic, cook until browned.

In a large pot, cook your pasta according to box instructions.

Once the meat has fully cooked, add the sauce, black olives, crushed red pepper flakes, dried basil and dried parsley.  Reduce the heat to simmer and allow to cook for approximately 4 minutes until fully heated. NOTE: I add each ingredient to taste, start by adding a little of each, taste, and add more if needed.

Remove the pasta from the burner and drain.  Return the pasta to the pot and pour the sauce over the pasta and mix well.

Serve and top with parmesean cheese.

And just like that you took a boring jar of sauce and made a lively and flavorful meal in just minutes!
