Amazing Hot Slaw

Turn up the heat on that boring coleslaw!

In my opinion, coleslaw is a pretty bland side dish.  That is why I love this Hot Slaw recipe.  It is a quick, easy and guaranteed to please!  Perfect for a BBQ or a side dish at home.  I paired this side dish with my Peking Chicken Roll-Ups, it was a perfect match!

Hot Slaw


Green Cabbage
Cayenne Pepper

Start by chopping the cabbage, you can also use a grater or pre-shredded cabbage if you wish to. 

Next, place the cabbage in a large tupperware container with a lid.  Squeeze equal parts ketchup and mayo into the bowl and stir.  Sprinkle the cayenne pepper, salt and pepper into the mixture, this part is by taste preference.  I used approximately 1/2 head of cabbage, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup mayo, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne, pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper. 

Mix well, put the lid on and refrigerate for at least 1 hour so that the ingredients have a chance to marry.  The longer you allow it to sit, the hotter the slaw will get.
