Power Smoothie with Bananas, Oatmeal & Almonds

Nuts in a glass? Well that is just bananas!

I am a huge fan of being able to drink food!  I came across this recipe on the Chiquita website and absolutely loved the idea of a meal in a glass packed with good for you ingredients.


Power Smoothie with Bananas, Oatmeal & Almonds:
1 whole banana (best with brown peel)
4-6 ice cubes, depending on preference
2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
¼ cup cooked oatmeal
10 almonds - click here for storage tips

Instructions

Pour all ingredients in blender pouring ice in last. Blend on high for 30 seconds or until smoothie thickens.

So here you have it, almonds, cooked oatmeal, bananas and yogurt meet up in your blender for a power breakfast or snack!
