Blueberry and Cinnamon Oatmeal

Breakfast can be comfort food too!
A few days ago I posted a recipe for Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal.  This morning I made my oatmeal with blueberries.  Right now they are in season and also on sale so I stocked up.

Blueberries go well with so many different things and are also really good alone!  They are also full of powerful health benefits such as:
Blueberries are packed with vitamin C.
Blueberries are dynamos of dietary fiber.
Blueberries are an excellent source of manganese.
Blueberries are leaders in antioxidant activity.

Here are the simple steps.

Blueberry & Cinnamon Oatmeal

Blueberries, make sure they are properly washed, click here to find out how to do so

Golden Raisins

Directions

Follow the oatmeal cooking instructions on the container.

Once oatmeal is finished cooking, sprinkle the desired amount of blueberries over the oats followed by the golden raisins, cinnamon and agave (or honey).

One more reason to eat and enjoy breakfast ... the most important meal of the day! Come back and let me know how your breakfast was.

  1. I make mine with steel cut oatmeal, blueberries, banana, and vanilla...yum you gotta try it!
Also try opening banana from small end...give it a pinch it is much easier than trying to bend back the stem etc...
